Remember 2020 -Dec 8

“Always hold fast to the present. Every situation, indeed every moment, is of infinite value, for it is the representative of a whole eternity.” — Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Can you describe a moment where you found yourself truly present. Full of gratitude. What was happening? Who was with you? Where were you? What emotions did you feel?

My youngest sister took this photo of me after our time on the outdoor court in our home town. It was one of the the crossover days. We had been rotating time spent with mum during the early days of the cancer diagnosis. Somewhere in the summer we determined we could benefit with spending time with each other instead of just quickly passing the baton of care.

I had not touched a basketball in years. It took some time, but by the end of the afternoon I had remembered what it felt like to shoot and score, to dribble and pass.

It was the best feeling. I remember that day fondly and with love for my sister who created the space and time and opportunity and love for my self from way back.
